Happy brands

Did you know that 94% of the 2.8 million Australians looking to
buy a new vehicle in the next four years are already drivers? This
makes automotive brand loyalty a key component of the next
sale.
Recent search from Roy Morgan's 2012 brand loyalty poll shows
Volkswagen has the highest number of loyal drivers; with 64% of the
VW customers surveyed registering their intent to buy another VW
within the next four years. An impressive result.
Subaru has slipped to second place with 61% planning to repurchase
a Subaru. Top-seller Toyota was also down, now in third with 57%.
Mazda was next, down to 52%, while fifth place Ford has grown since
last year, and is up to 47%.
Norman Morris, industry communications director for Roy Morgan
research says he expects Volkswagen's numbers to build on its
recent strong sales growth over the coming years. "Hyundai also
continues to improve well; moving from tenth on the list two years
ago to currently sit 7th on 46% and only marginally below Honda,"
says Morris.
This highlights the importance brand plays in automotive
transactions. So promoting your brand is critical too. Make sure
your prospective customers know who you are and what you can offer
them over the competition to keep them coming back
